It’s no surprise, of course, that CNN’s Don Lemon has taken an anti-Trump stance on the issue connected to the chants “Send her back!”
The crowd at President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again rally in Greenville, North Carolina, this past Wednesday night began chanting, “Send her back,” when the president referenced the despicable and anti-American comments of “squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).
“So the president [is] insisting that his supporters in the crowd chanting ‘Send her back’ — that they were true patriots. Because they agree with him,” said Lemon.
He added, “And falsely repeating his slur that any of the four congresswomen of color hate our country. Because they disagree with him.”
“That’s why he tweeted in the first place,” insisted Lemon. “‘Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came,'” said Lemon, quoting Trump’s tweet. “Ignoring they are American citizens. That’s [when] the chants happen[ed]. He let them go on for a full 13 seconds.”
Lemon has little or no credibility on this and other issues, as he has consistently spoken out against this president no matter what Trump does or says — no matter how strong the American economy is or how well the country is doing in so many other ways during this presidency.
“Those are incredible people. Those are incredible patriots,” the president insisted at the White House when a reporter asked him about the chants by the crowd of supporters — and why he didn’t overtly disavow them.
