It’s becoming quite clear that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) isn’t just a socialist, she’s a purveyor of left-wing anarchism, in our opinion.

And it’s apparent she won’t stop until America is a lawless nation.

In an interview last week with New Yorker Radio, AOC said she wouldn’t just abolish ICE (the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) — she’d abolish the entire Department of Homeland Security.

“ICE is not under the [Department of Justice],” said Ocasio-Cortez. “It’s under the Department of Homeland Security. And so we have now — ”

Host David Remnick then interrupted, “Would you get rid of the Department of Homeland Security, too?”

“I think so,” she responded without thinking. “I think we need to undo a lot of the egregious — umm, a lot of the egregious mistakes that the Bush administration did.”

Have to love how her solution to every department or organization’s flaws is to simply abolish its existence.

When she’s at home using her garbage disposal and it breaks, does she just get rid of the entire counter and sink, too?

“I feel like we are at a very — it’s a very qualified and supported position, at least in terms of evidence, and in terms of being able to make the argument that we never should have created DHS in the early 2000s,” she added.

DHS is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the United States from both manmade and natural disasters.

Janet Napolitano, former President Obama’s secretary of Homeland Security, sure believed the department was crucial.

“The purpose of our department is unambiguous: We must guard against terrorism; we must secure our borders; we must enforce our immigration laws; we must improve our readiness for, response to, and recovery from disasters; and we must unify the department so that we can even more effectively carry out our mission,” she wrote.

Jeh Johnson, another former secretary under Obama, has been a rare voice of reason in arguing for the need to secure our nation’s borders, calling the Democrat push for open borders “unworkable and unwise.”

Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only ill-informed freshman member of Congress to argue against the need for ICE or DHS.

DHS also consists of the Transportation Safety Administration, the Secret Service, the Coast Guard and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Now, AOC is all about just wiping the whole thing out.

Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only ill-informed freshman member of Congress to argue against the need for ICE or DHS.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) argued for defunding the entire outfit because of President Donald Trump’s “hateful” wall.

Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-Ill.) actually accused the Trump administration and Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan of intentionally murdering illegal immigrant children.

It was a comment so egregious, it drew an immediate rebuke and was stricken from the record.

Ocasio-Cortez’s jumping into the fray is no surprise. She would rather see our nation’s laws dismantled top to bottom so criminals and terrorists can run the streets.
