We can’t believe an American citizen would attack an immigration detention facility with a firearm — but now we might have to think twice about such occurrences.

The incident occurred in the state of Washington.

Progressivism and socialism have created some of the most brainless beings this side of creation, in this writer’s view.

And on early Saturday morning, a man armed with a rifle thought he could make a statement by throwing projectiles toward the facility and cars — before authorities finally shot him down.

An employee at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma reported one vehicle on fire and said the suspect was also attempting to ignite a large propane tank outside the facility, the Tacoma Police Department said in a statement.

When four officers arrived at about 4 a.m., shots were fired and the suspect was later determined to be deceased at the scene.

“Officers noted that in addition to the weapon, he was wearing a satchel and had flares on his person,” the statement said, adding that no officers were injured.

“This morning’s attack at the ICE detention center in Tacoma was a horrific act of violence that has shaken us all,” Washington Governor and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Jay Inslee wrote on Twitter. (source: Reuters) 

This wouldn’t have happened if Congress had done its job years ago.

This is the result of congressional lawmakers choosing to ignore and refusing to reform our immigration system for the last four decades.

People on the border pleaded for help as the system became overwhelmed.

Let’s not forget the interference of the progressive mindset. These individuals have not allowed law enforcement agencies to do their jobs and enforce immigration law.

One thing is certain: As tension grows because of the inaction of Congress, things will only deteriorate.

That’s what today’s mainstream news reporting has become — a vehicle for outlandish statements in order to grab people’s attention and sell advertising.
