Democrat Omar of Minnesota Says It’s ‘Un-American’ for ICE to Hold Illegal Aliens

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) (shown above right) believes it is “un-American” for officials of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to capture and detain immigrants — notice she does not use the word “illegal” — and now she wants the agency defunded.

Omar tweeted about this the other day.

“ICE is requesting 500 beds from Sherburne County to detain immigrants,” she wrote.

“It’s un-American to criminalize immigrants for wanting to come to this country for a better life. This is why ICE needs to be defunded”:

As you can see in her tweet, Omar claims immigrants are being criminalized; everyday Americans who are in touch with current events know this to be “illegal” immigrants.

That’s one of those fear tactics Democrats have been pushing for the last 5-8 years, in my view — and if there’s no pushback on that, some Americans wind up disliking Republicans even more.

MPR News reported that Sherburne County “sent the preliminary proposal in response to ICE’s request for additional detention space within 100 miles of its St. Paul field office at Fort Snelling, county officials confirmed. ICE’s deadline for proposals was May 20. It’s not clear when the federal agency will decide whether to pursue them.”

The detention space only holds 300 beds for ICE, which is why it asked for expansion.

For someone who shouldn’t be serving in our government based on her continued anti-Semitic views and attacks on our way of life, Omar has blended in well with the liar’s club on the Left side of the aisle.

Many of my friends believe Omar is not here to conform to our system of government but to reform it and disobey our laws. Pure mockery.

Omar and some others show no loyalty to, or respect for, our country, our laws, or our way of life, in my opinion.

She swore an oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the laws thereof, but she refuses to do so. Anybody else thinks this is grounds for expulsion?
