Screen icon and directorial legend Clint Eastwood is breaking with Hollywood elites who have threatened to boycott Georgia over its new pro-life heartbeat bill. He announced that he will film his new movie, “The Ballad of Richard Jewell,” in the Peach State.

The bill, which would protect unborn babies from abortion once a heartbeat is detected, has liberals in Tinseltown practically foaming at the mouth.

A group of actors and actresses have led efforts to boycott the state in response to the law, led by star-turned-anti-life abortion activist Alyssa Milano.

Milano went so far as to have women celebrate their abortions by sharing stories on her podcast.

“We are going to do everything in our power to move our industry to a safer state for women,” she declared.

Eastwood isn’t having any part of it.

The film, which will begin production this summer, is expected to star Kathy Bates, Olivia Wilde, Jon Hamm, and Sam Rockwell.

Jewell was a hero of the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in 1996. He was wrongfully accused of being the bomber by several media outlets, only to be cleared of all charges three months later.

Eastwood is a favorite of conservatives as a rare voice of reason in a sea of liberalism in Hollywood.

He famously declared, accurately, that “one day we will realize that the Barack Obama presidency was the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people.”

That day came when Obama’s potential third term — named Hillary Clinton — was defeated by Donald Trump in 2016.

Eastwood has also used real-life soldiers in his films, in which they are able to re-enact some of their heroic efforts.

He’s also been outspoken against political correctness in the entertainment industry.

Believe it or not, the Dirty Harry actor isn’t the only one in Hollywood defying a liberal boycott of Georgia.

Ashley Bratcher, star of the pro-life movie “Unplanned,” also took a jab at celebrities who are threatening to boycott the state, calling them “a couple of loud voices.”

Other conservative actors need to stand up and use their own loud voices, in our view, to defend a state protecting the unborn.
