Alyssa Milano tried to perform an unannounced inspection of an illegal immigrant detention center in Florida — but she was immediately turned away.
You can’t knock the effort, though.
Milano traveled miles through difficult conditions just to see the migrant children who are allegedly suffering at the hands of U.S. authorities.
Actually, she took a chauffeur-driven Mercedes to the stunt.

She also did her best to use the “do you know who I am” card to no avail.
“I’m Alyssa Milano,” she demanded. “I’m an actress/activist and I would love to be let in based on a community visit.”
Unfortunately for her, the famous actress play failed to yield any results.
“They were refused entry and told they must submit formal requests, like everyone else,” the Daily Mail reports.

Didn’t understand. After she was rebuked, the actress returned to her vehicle and asked her followers to submit requests demanding she be let in — apparently she still didn’t quite comprehend that she had to submit the formal request herself.
She’s vowing, in fact, to give it another go.

“We tried to get in, they wouldn’t let us. They gave me a card to email to make a visit request,” she explained to her followers. “Maybe we should all email and tell them to let me in. I’m going to go back there tomorrow and again try to be let in.”
I still can’t get over @Alyssa_Milano showing up in a chauffeured luxury car with her smartphone to visit poor migrant children. That’s just peak 2019 Hollywood “activism.” I wonder if she brought enough avocado toast and LaCroix for the planned photo-op.

Aside from Milano’s epic fail, Democrat presidential candidates Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) were also denied entry to the facility.
Moral victory. All was not lost, however.
Milano and her fellow protesters were able to celebrate arts and crafts time outside the facility.

“Undeterred, the group held up cardboard hearts so that the children inside could see the over the fence, which surrounds an outdoor area in the facility,” the report reads.
“We gotta shut down these detention centers,” Milano pleaded, failing to note the detention center she was trying to enter was opened under former President Barack Obama.
