In an interview on MSNBC to discuss his policy proposal to combat climate change, the 2020 presidential candidate declared that humanity only has 10 years left to fix the problem.

That’s two years fewer than his hysterical colleague, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), claimed civilization had before the sky would fall.

It’s almost like a liberal game of poker with these two.

Beto saw the New York socialist’s climate change stupidity … and raised (or lowered) her two years.

Ten years left. “I want to make sure that those who work in the oil and gas industry, those who work in the fossil fuel industry, are brought along as partners,” O’Rourke announced, “to make sure we make this transition in the 10 years we have left to us as the scientists tell us to make the kind of bold change that we need.”

Guess we should be thankful that Beto’s climate change initiative will only cost taxpayers $5 trillion, as opposed to AOC’s Green New Deal — which is estimated to cost $93 trillion while studies have concluded it would have “no effect” on the planet’s climate.

Now, having just said there are only “10 years … left to us,” O’Rourke went on to explain his plan will save the world … by 2050. Brilliant!

“I’m going to work with, listen to everyone any time, anywhere to make sure that we advance this agenda and get to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050,” he concluded.

Saving the world 21 years after it ends is just the kind of bold leadership this country needs and only the Democrat Party could possibly offer.

Jumped the shark. Having listened to Beto’s rants since he announced his candidacy for the White House, we can’t help but think he’s already jumped the shark. This is just another example.

In the past three weeks alone, AOC-lite has called Benjamin Netanyahu a racist and likened illegal immigrants to slaves.

But climate change is where Beto does his best work — declaring that combating global warming is akin to defeating the Nazis, environmental extremists are just like the soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy, and overcoming this grave threat will be like overcoming the Great Depression.

“When you think about leadership, those who preceded us — those who were on the beaches in Normandy, those who faced an existential threat to Western democracy and our way of life, they showed us the way,” O’Rourke said in referencing his plan to fight climate change.

The invasion of Normandy lasted a little over a month and altered the course of World War II.

Environmentalists need 10 or 12 years to renovate buildings to make them carbon neutral while eliminating cow emissions and air travel.

Other than that, they’re exactly alike.
