Omar of Minnesota on the 9/11 Attacks: ‘Some People Did Something’

Opinion: Newly minted Democratic lawmaker appears to have an agenda — and leftists insist on pretending she's misunderstood

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) (shown above right) would rather speak about Israel and allege it is a country that practices policies against human rights than speak up for America and the country that allowed her to be elected into the House of Representatives.

Omar is part of the Marxist caucus, in my view, that also includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) (above left), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) — who all seem to be running a game in Congress in terms of which of them can grab the most radical headlines per week.

Some members of the Democrat Party have defended Omar’s anti-Semitic tweets and statements; either that, or she’s been given token discipline by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Steny Hoyer (D-Md.).

In speaking to CAIR — the Council on American-Islamic Relations — a few weeks ago, she described the 9/11 attackers as “some people,” instead of as Muslims.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11,” she said, “because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Everything about this individual screams anti-American, in my view, and her adherence to Sharia law is incompatible with our system of government.

Not only is she not qualified to hold her current office, she’s not qualified to be an American citizen. It is my belief that she and her fellow adherents to Sharia should be expelled from Congress. It’s time to investigate her connections to CAIR and have the group branded a domestic terrorist organization.

If Omar refuses to recognize 9/11 as an attack on the American homeland, she doesn’t deserve citizenship and most definitely shouldn’t be in Congress.

House Democrats should remove Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, given her inflammatory remarks on Israel and her confrontational attitude toward witnesses who appear before the committee.

Moreover, there is a very real possibility that she might share privileged information with the enemy.

“Somebody did something” is what I’m going to say after the next drone strike in Somalia — or after the Israelis blast a few more Hamas Palestinians.

Omar knows exactly what she is saying. She has put her agenda out there for all to see, but since she is a Democrat, her fellow Democrats insist on pretending that she is misunderstood.

Party before the country — that’s their motto.

What is that old saying? “There are none so blind as those who will not see,” or such.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but as I write this, it is early and the coffee is still brewing.
