The New York Post eviscerated Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for trivializing the 9/11 terrorist attacks, printing a cover with an image of the attack and a headline that read: “Here’s Your Something.”

Thursday’s cover photo comes following reports that Omar described the terror attacks that killed thousands of Americans as “some people did something.”

The Democrat representative spoke at a California fundraiser for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) where she made the controversial and infuriating comments.

“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar said.

The Post hit back in dramatic fashion, showing an image of the second plane striking the towers on that tragic day and stating:

Rep. Ilhan Omar: 9/11 was ‘some people did something.’

Here’s your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism.

Below the larger headlines reads a line stating, “Omar outraged the families of 9/11 victims by referring dismissively to the terrorist attacks while speaking to a Muslim lobbying group.”

At the same speaking engagement, Omar described Muslims as being treated like “second-class citizens” and encouraged them to stand up, “raise hell,” and “make people uncomfortable.”

Editorial board hits back. The New York Post editorial board fired off a column further criticizing Omar over her comments.

“How pathetic,” the column begins. “A member of Congress can’t acknowledge what happened on one of the most horrific days in U.S. history.”

“Omar’s cavalier brushing off of the murder of thousands of innocents on 9/11 should shock all Americans, Muslims included,” they concluded.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) referred to her comments as simply “unbelievable.”

Democrat response. Omar has slammed Crenshaw and other critics of her comments as trying to incite violence against her — you know, because she’s always the victim here.

“This is dangerous incitement, given the death threats I face,” Omar said without evidence. “I hope leaders of both parties will join me in condemning it. My love and commitment to our country and that of my colleagues should never be in question. We are ALL Americans!”

Others have claimed her words were taken out of context.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), also an anti-Semite like her colleague Omar, rushed to her defense and said The Post should be ashamed of itself for reminding her of what really happened on 9/11.

The “shame” is, and should be, almost exclusively Omar’s.
