Trump-hating Hollywood liberal Cher said on Sunday that her city of Los Angeles “can’t take care of its own” citizens — so how can anyone expect it to take care of newcomers, legal or not?

This is astounding coming from the pop singer, in our view, considering she never misses a chance to bash the president, particularly on this issue.

Cher wondered how LA could possibly take in more people when the city already fails veterans, the homeless, and the many who fall below the poverty line.

“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISN’T TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN. WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS. PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE, & HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own (Many Are VETS) How Can it Take Care Of More,” Cher tweeted in her usual run-on style.

Cher’s post seemed to be a response to President Donald Trump’s threat to place illegal aliens in sanctuary cities, or even sanctuary states like California, if sanctuary laws do not change.

When White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked about this idea last week, she said the administration was definitely considering it.

What seems to be going over Cher’s head is this: While her tweet is supposed to be just another tirade opposing what the president does on any given day, she is actually making part of Trump’s immigration argument for him. That argument is: How can the U.S. take in millions of people when we have a hard time taking care of our own citizens?

In any other context, most people would consider Cher’s reasoning to reflect a conservative or even pro-Trump stance.

As Breitbart reports:

While left-wing mayors say they will continue to admit any and all illegal and legal immigrants, Los Angeles is home to the second largest homeless population in the country, second to only New York City.

About 50,000 residents of Los Angeles are homeless and about 7.5 percent of California’s American veteran population is homeless.

As the city remains crippled by homelessness and skyrocketing housing costs, [the] Los Angeles metro area is also home to the second largest illegal alien population — with nearly a million illegal aliens living in the region, according to Pew Research Center.

What will Cher tweet next when she learns she’s actually making Trump’s anti-illegal immigration arguments for him?

If she “Could Turn Back Time,” would she delete her tweet?

Maybe she will suggest building a wall around Los Angeles next?
