President Donald Trump weighed in on the latest unfounded #FakeMelania conspiracy theory on Wednesday when he slammed the “Fake News” media for obsessing over first lady Melania Trump — and said they’re “only getting more deranged with time.”
“The Fake News photoshopped pictures of Melania, then propelled conspiracy theories that it’s actually not her by my side in Alabama and other places.”
“They are only getting more deranged with time!” Trump tweeted.

This conspiracy theory states that first lady Melania Trump uses a body double to stand in for her in an official capacity and attend some events with the president.
Some people also noted that there is a U.S. Secret Service agent who resembles the first lady, although she is considerably shorter than Melania Trump.
IF ITS NOT MELANIA THEN WHO IS THIS WOMAN?!! 👀
A candidate for her double is one of the First Lady’s Secret Service agents, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to her charge, is shorter than her, and wears similar elaborate rings on the job. *hella sus* pic.twitter.com/W7AbRzCAjZ

WSFA 12 reporter Sally Pitts tweeted a photo on Friday of the president and the first lady.
They were holding hands while paying their respects to tornado victims last week by viewing the 23 crosses representing the 23 victims.

Some social media users noted that Melania Trump appeared shorter than she normally is while standing next to her husband on the grass.
The first lady, who is 5′11,″ is often seen wearing high heels.
But she didn’t wear heels in the photo.
Others thought her face looked slightly different as well. Some people who love to speculate about the Trumps’ marriage were suspicious because the two were holding hands.
ABC News’ “The View” co-hosts drew particular attention to the conspiracy theory during a segment on Monday.
“FAKE MELANIA CONSPIRACIES RETURN: The internet is buzzing again with theories that first lady Melania Trump is using an imposter to stand in for her — the co-hosts investigate,” the show’s account tweeted with a video of the discussion.

Co-host Joy Behar said, “I wasn’t going to go along with this but that one, in that picture, doesn’t look like her … It’s a different shaped face.”
Behar also insisted that there is “an element of truth” to the unfounded #FakeMelania conspiracy theory because she thought the first lady loathed her husband.
Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “Melania is a very tall, statuesque woman and the one that we saw, the first one that we showed, she looks kind of short.”
These remarks drew a rebuke on Monday from Melania Trump’s director of communications, Stephanie Grisham.
“[email protected] & @potus traveled to Alabama to pay their respects & comfort victims of the tornado devastation. In typical fashion, @theview chooses to laugh in the face of tragedy. Shameful,” Grisham wrote.

The conspiracy theories about Melania Trump have been around since 2017 — and it’s nothing new for liberals to mock her on social media whenever she sends out pictures and statements.
“I could say I’m the most bullied person [in] the world … One of them, if you really see what people are saying about me,” Melania Trump told ABC’s “Good Morning America” in October.
“That’s why my ‘Be Best’ initiative focuses on social media and online behavior. We need to educate the children [about] social and emotional health, so when they grow up they know how to deal with these issues,” she added.
And although magazines featured former first lady Michelle Obama on their covers, these same magazines have almost completely shunned Melania Trump.
She has also faced mockery for her Christmas decorations for the last two years.
Social media users ridiculed Melania Trump for the red Christmas trees that decorated a portion of the White House this past holiday season. They mocked her white Christmas tree decorations in 2017, too.
