“Daily Show” host Trevor Noah spent part of his Thursday night program making fun of President Donald Trump for the abrupt ending to recent talks with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.

“Trump and Kim fell in love. And I know it’s weird, but when you think about it, Kim Jong-un is totally Donald Trump’s type, right?” said Noah. “All of Trump’s best relationships are with people who are half his age and don’t speak English. It works. That’s when the relationship ‘be best.’”

The comedian went on to compare the souring of talks between Trump and Jong-un to the ending of an actual romantic relationship.

He said the two world leaders “both just wanted different things” — and it’s a “classic relationship dilemma.”

“This is so tough to watch, man, because we’ve all been there. We really have all been there,” Noah said in a segment during which he was addressing President Trump directly.

“You told your friends this was gonna work out. And, despite the warnings, you still carried on. And now you’re trying to save face because you think everyone’s judging you, which we totally are. But instead of dragging this out, Donald, I think it’s time to accept that maybe, just maybe, Kim is just not that into you.”

It’s incredibly telling that Trump has had more progress in his talks with North Korea than any recent president has had — yet critics still root against him and this country when further steps forward are attempted.

It’s just another example of how Trump Derangement Syndrome has taken hold of the president’s Hollywood critics.
