ABC News’ “The View” co-hosts celebrated the House Democrats’ far-reaching investigations into President Donald Trump — and apparently hoped that one of these probes would wind up “being what gets him” removed from office.

After Democrats reclaimed the House majority in January, they launched a series of investigations into the president’s family business, his taxes, and payments to women who claimed to have had affairs with him — among other areas of interest.

Special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is expected to end soon. But now it seems increasingly likely that Mueller’s report will not find any evidence of collusion with Russian — something the president has long claimed would be the case. So House Democrats are pursuing a range of other options.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), House Judiciary Committee chair, and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), House Intelligence Committee chair, are leading the charge. The House Foreign Affairs Committee chair, Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.), and the House Oversight Committee chair, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), are also opening investigations into Trump, his family business and other matters.

Trump hit back at the Democratic investigators on Twitter on Tuesday, calling the developments, in all caps, “presidential harassment!”

“Now that they realize the only collusion with Russia was done by Crooked Hillary Clinton & the Democrats, Nadler, Schiff and the Dem heads of the committees have gone stone cold CRAZY. [They sent] 81 letter[s] … to innocent people to harass them. They won’t get ANYTHING done for our country!” Trump wrote.

“‘[It’s] the greatest overreach in the history of our country,” he added.

“The Dems are obstructing justice and will not get anything done. [It’s] a big, fat, fishing expedition desperately in search of a crime, when in fact the real crime is what the Dems are doing, and have done!” Trump said.

Should Trump face impeachment proceedings in the House, Nadler would oversee those.

The House Democrats demanded documents and information from more than 80 individuals, businesses and institutions on Monday in search of evidence of impeachable offenses.

House Democrats are planning to formally request the president’s tax returns in two weeks, Politico also reported on Tuesday.

And most of “The View” co-hosts greeted all of these developments with glee.

“They’re focusing on obstruction of justice, public corruption and abuses of power,” co-host Joy Behar noted. “So is this the right move? Or could it backfire on them, like when the Republicans wouldn’t stop investigating Bill Clinton for the — you know what he did.”

Co-host Meghan McCan (pictured above right) admitted, “It’s hard to tune into which investigation is going on” because “there’s a lot of investigations going on.”

“And do I think Democrats are just throwing out to see if something sticks? There is the possibility that they could get out over their skis or overshoot the runway and do what happened to Bill Clinton in the ‘90s,” she said.

Behar hoped the Southern District of New York’s aggressive launch of investigations into Trump could finally “get him.”

McCain made the rare move of praising Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) after playing a clip that showed the lawmaker urging Congress to go after Trump on his taxes and financial records — instead of collusion.

“She’s on the right track. Follow the money. Stop worrying about collusion,” McCain recommended.

Behar agreed. “Follow the money. It got Nixon. And it got Al Capone.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin (above left) also urged Democrats to investigate seriously whether or not Trump violated the Emoluments Clause. She claimed that Trump is “still lining his pockets and putting his financial interests before the interests of our country.”

McCain said that if the Emoluments Clause “ends up being what gets” Trump, then Hostin needs to add that to her bio because of her strong interest in whether Trump violated it or not.

“I think that is where we need to go. And if you’re the Oversight Committee, that’s what you need to look at,” Hostin recommended.

But co-host Abby Huntsman warned all these investigations are “going to backfire on Democrats because it is so broad. It’s like they threw the kitchen sink out there.”

Behar dismissed those concerns, saying, “He committed a lot of crimes possibly.”

“I think there are enough American people that don’t even like Trump that will say this is too much,” Huntsman insisted. “And the Democratic Party needs to focus on what their — 2020 is around the corner. What is their platform? How do they win an election?”

“This was not a winning solution for Republicans going against Bill Clinton,” she added.

But Behar insisted Trump “is screwing the whole country” and deserves to be ousted one way or another.

Co-host Ana Navarro (above center) said the House Intelligence Committee still “has a duty to investigate whether this campaign of Trump’s colluded with Russia,” even though the committee has already investigated those allegations.

“And when in the hell is this compromise that they’ve got on [Trump], that he keeps coddling to this, you know, murderous dictator oligarch in Russia?” Navarro demanded. “The Oversight Committee should do what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is saying they do and what you guys are saying, and follow the money.”

“If this Oversight Committee comes up with something, perhaps they should have legislation that requires presidential candidates to release their taxes. That should be a requirement for running for president,” Navarro argued.
