Celebrity chef Mario Batali officially has left the restaurant group he co-founded.

The exit comes a little over a year after he faced multiple accusations of sexual misconduct.

Batali sold all of his shares in Batali & Bastianich.

At one point that included 16 restaurants, according to The New York Times.

Several women accused Batali of inappropriate touching and of creating a hostile work environment.

Only a few days after four women came forward, Batali put out his own public statement, admitting that his behavior was “wrong.”

“My behavior was wrong and there are no excuses. I take full responsibility,” Batali’s public statement read.

“Sharing the joys of Italian food, tradition and hospitality with all of you, each week, is an honor and privilege. Without the support of all of you — my fans — I would never have a forum in which to expound on this. I will work every day to regain your respect and trust.”

In a bizarre twist, Batali’s apology — which was sent out in the form of a newsletter emailed to fans — included a “p.s.” that shared a cinnamon roll recipe.

Batali was also let go from the show “The Chew” following his allegations.

He was best known for his appearances on the Food Network, as well as for shows like “Iron Chef America.”
