Though Michael Cohen’s Wednesday testimony was little more than a pointless exercise for those who throw in with the notion that President Donald Trump stole the 2016 presidential election, liberal Hollywood members nonetheless celebrated every word they could.

Though Cohen — Trump’s former personal lawyer and a future prison inmate — made some intense accusations against the president, he provided no real proof of anything. Cohen claimed the president has said racist things in the past and “suspects” Trump colluded with Russia for the 2016 presidential election, but the only real proof Cohen offered were personal checks from Trump that he claimed were reimbursement for a payoff to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

She claims to have had an affair with Trump years ago while he was married, which he denies.

If it all sounds like a boring nothing burger — it was.

At this point, “bombshell” hearings and reports that rely on anonymous sources are irresponsible. They play into the Trump Derangement Syndrome from which so many in D.C. and Hollywood are suffering.

“Say Anything” star John Cusack reacted to the Cohen hearings by actuallly comparing the GOP to the KKK.

“It’s good for America to see how GOP is complete deathkkkult,” wrote Cusack on Twitter.

How original. That sort of “cleverness” is why the actor hasn’t been seen in a major picture in years — he’s cashing easy paychecks in the video-on-demand lane of moviemaking, where so many careers go to survive on life support.

Rosie O’Donnell bought right into the fantasy that this testimony will take Trump out of the White House — never mind that endless investigations and accusations have led absolutely nowhere.

“Oh the GOP is p***** and we haven’t even started … This is gonna be good — Trump is going down — OH HAPPY DAY!!!” wrote the comedian.

For her part, actress and Democrat activist Alyssa Milano posted a video that highlighted Cohen’s claims that the president is a “racist” and a “conman.”

And “Goonies” star Sean Astin blasted Republican lawmakers who dared to question Cohen’s criminal history.

“The putrescent Republican Committee members are not interested in the truth. If a lying, cheating, convicted felon eats a sandwich and ya want to know if the chef is poisoning food, it doesn’t matter that the criminal lied about bank fraud,” he wrote.
