Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has been caught in full-blown hypocrisy mode.

She’s been pictured with her chief of staff downing a hamburger just days after telling Americans they need to cut cows out of their own diets.

Burgers for me, and not for thee, as it were.

Getting caught red-handed has left the socialist darling rather un-a-moo-sed.

Where’s the beef? Ocasio-Cortez has been defending her radical environmental plan to save the world in under 12 years (but over $93 trillion) ever since she introduced the Green New Deal earlier this month.

You may have even heard her doing so on Showtime’s new talk show, “Desus & Mero.”

“It’s not to say we’re gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that,” she said.

“But it’s to say, ‘Listen, we gotta address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real.”

Perhaps the New York representative needs to keep a closer eye on her own staff’s dietary habits — namely, when they eat one of those earth-killing hamburgers right in front of her.

Surely if she has a problem with everyday Americans eating too many burgers, then she’d no doubt have a beef with her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabarti, downing one in front of her.

Right?

Here’s why she’s mad. Rather than getting upset that her aide was murdering the earth one delicious bite at a time, Ocasio-Cortez steered attention toward whoever took the picture.

To be fair, it is kind of odd to take pictures of someone eating their food in a restaurant.

That said …

1.) Nobody on the Left gave a rip when Ted Cruz and Sarah Sanders were chased out of restaurants, not just photographed.

2.) Nobody on the Left gave a rip when Kellyanne Conway was allegedly assaulted at a restaurant, not just photographed.

3.) If you’re going to say that eating hamburgers is killing the planet, and somebody sees a member of your staff engaging in said murderous acts, then it needs to be called out.

The steaks are too high.

The bottom line here is that Ocasio-Cortez needs to get her staff to stop udderly embarrassing her by eating verboten foods in public.
