Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) fired back at the Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” co-hosts on Friday after they rebuked her for calling for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to be abolished — especially when an MS-13 gang member shot and killed a person in her own district last weekend.

Ocasio-Cortez (pictured above left) made impassioned and tearful remarks at a press conference on Thursday in which she vowed to defund and abolish ICE. She made those comments before she officially unveiled her widely mocked Green New Deal climate change resolution.

ICE does “not deserve a dime until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good-faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Until they can prove good faith to an American ideal, they do not deserve any resources for their radical agenda,” she added.

The self-described Democratic socialist also made the bizarre claim that Latinos who aren’t U.S. citizens deserve “the right of human mobility” — arguing that illegal immigrant Latinos shouldn’t be deported or prevented from entering the U.S. because they are descendants of “Native people.”

“Because we are standing on Native land, and Latino people are descendants of Native people. And we cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity and our status,” Ocasio-Cortez argued.

“Fox & Friends” co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade (both above right, sitting with Ainsley Earnhardt) criticized Ocasio-Cortez harshly.

The show aired a clip about the shooting in Queens, New York, over the weekend. A local ABC News station reported that ICE had confirmed the gunman suspect was an illegal immigrant MS-13 gang member.

“Now, if the only hope we have of kicking this guy out before he can kill somebody, shoot somebody, is ICE … that’s what they do, to try and hunt them down. So you would think that maybe the people might be upset at ICE for maybe not getting there quick enough,” Kilmeade noted.

“But no, not her. Ocasio-Cortez after, I imagine, seeing this horror, is upset that ICE even exists,” Kilmeade added. “She cried about it. And you just watched these border negotiations, as you see this horrible scene going down.”

Doocy rebuked Ocasio-Cortez for “trying to starve out ICE by not funding them.”

Apparently she was monitoring the show or heard about their comments — because Ocasio-Cortez was not pleased with the co-hosts’ criticism and decided to fire back on Twitter.

“Unlike these people, I actually care about my community. This happened across my old campaign office. We’ve been monitoring this heartbreaking situation and have been working with the community to heal. Meanwhile, ICE is detaining children, political activists & 21 Savage,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also rebuked the congresswoman on Twitter, writing, “Last year, ICE removed a Nazi from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s district. Her response: Abolish ICE. This week, MS-13 murdered someone in her district. Her response: Abolish ICE. AOC’s calls aren’t just endangering her community, they’re endangering the entire country.”
