Actress and musician Bette Midler (pictured above left) is yet another Hollywood liberal who was and is not happy with President Donald Trump’s Tuesday night State of the Union address from Capitol Hill.
Midler was particularly irked when Trump argued against late-term abortion laws, which are inexplicably becoming more and more popular.
Midler urged her pro-choice followers to “buy stock in coat hangers” following Trump’s remarks.
“Buy stock in coat hangers! Here we go, 60 years, back to the back alleys,” Midler wrote.

The tweet is a detestable reference to self-induced abortions.
Not only is Midler’s statement in very poor taste, it shows how clearly confused she is about Trump’s remarks.
The pro-life president is vehemently opposed to late-term abortions and situations in which these children can sometimes be born alive.

The president said, during his speech, “There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days,” a clear reference to recent comments made by Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D).
During a recent radio interview, Northam — who is also facing controversy over possibly donning blackface in his past — said infants who are born deformed or are unable to survive birth would only be resuscitated “if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue.”
Northam is in favor of loosening restrictions on late-term abortions.
