Roger Stone claimed during an exclusive interview Tuesday night on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that he is “not going to do what” former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen did: He said he will not “make up lies or bear false witness against” President Donald Trump.

Authorities raided Stone’s home in Florida and arrested him this past Friday as part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into allegations of collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russia.

Stone (pictured above right) was indicted on seven charges, ranging from obstruction of justice to making false statements and witness tampering.

The political consultant served as an adviser to Trump back during the 2016 presidential campaign, before the election.

Stone was released Friday on a $250,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty in federal court on Tuesday.

Mueller’s prosecutors wrote in the indictment, “After the July 22, 2016, release of stolen DNC emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. STONE thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1.”

Some of the people who worked previously with Trump and who have been caught in Mueller’s crosshairs have chosen to cooperate with investigators as part of their plea deals. After telling CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday on “State of the Union” that he was willing to cooperate with Mueller’s investigation, Stone appeared to walk back that claim during an interview with CBS News.

But Stone told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that he will cooperate with Mueller without bearing “false witness” against the president.

“What I meant was, I’m not going to bear false witness against anybody. I’m going to tell the truth under oath and to the investigators if they have questions, subject obviously to the advice format-wise of my attorneys,” Stone told Ingraham.

“But I’m not going to do what Michael Cohen has done. I’m not going to make up lies or bear false witness against Donald Trump or anyone else,” Stone added.

Cohen has been sentenced to three years in prison for campaign finance violations, tax evasion and lying to Congress regarding Trump’s business dealings in Russia prior to his presidency. He has been cooperating with Mueller’s investigation.

When asked about the false statements he is accused of making, Stone admitted, “It is true that I forgot that I had text messages in an old cell phone” regarding his dealings with New York radio host Randy Credico and WikiLeaks.

“To the extent that I made mistakes of memory, they would be without intent and they would be inconsequential. They would not be material under the law,” Stone said. “For any legal expert to look at these little excerpts without reading four-and-a-half hours of testimony to see the context — the questions before and the questions after — would be irresponsible.”

“But you can watch CNN and see this indictment as a slam dunk. My attorneys don’t think so,” Stone insisted.

Ingraham asked Stone about some media commentators’ speculation that he is giving interviews and speaking favorably of Trump in order to receive a pardon later on, if necessary.

“The truth of the matter is … I believe when you’re falsely accused of something and you say nothing, you say, ‘No comment,’ or, ‘Roger Stone was unavailable,’ most Americans assume you’re guilty,” Stone said. “The whole purpose of this over-the-top raid on my house in which they sent in more men than were used to protect our compound in Benghazi was to paint a picture of me … as Public Enemy No. 1.”
