Hollywood may not love President Donald Trump — but it won’t stop mining the man’s life and career for material.

Steve Carrell (pictured above right) is set to re-team with the creator of “The Office” to create a spoof based around Trump’s Space Force program.

Greg Daniels and Carrell are producing the show for Netflix. The story concerns a group of characters tasked with creating a new branch of the military, Space Force.

Carrell will star in and executive-produce the series, which he co-created. Daniels will executive produce and serve as showrunner.

In a video announcing the upcoming series, music famously used in the science fiction classic “2001: A Space Odyssey” [1] can be heard as text quotes President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence over an image of the globe.

“The Office,” the creation that both Carrell and Daniels arguably are best known for, ran for nine seasons and 188 episodes.

The show ended in 2013, but there’s talk of reboots and reunions over the years.

“Space Force” will not be the first series to use Trump as an inspiration for its material. Stephen Colbert also produces “Our Cartoon President,” an animated comedy for Showtime that tackles daily life in the Trump administration [2].

And “Saturday Night Live” — or any other modern late-night show — also uses the president for an endless amount of material.
