Part of late-night host Seth Meyer’s reaction to Donald Trump’s Tuesday address to the nation is getting some backlash on social media.

While the president talked about crime that can be tied to illegal immigration, including murder, Meyers decided it was time to mock not only the president — but victims of crime committed by illegal immigrants.

The president at one point during his address referenced California police officer Ronil Singh, who was recently shot and killed.

The crime was allegedly committed by illegal immigrant Gustavo Perez Arriaga.

Singh immigrated legally to the United States from Fiji.

Meyers’ response to this awful crime?

“Is this Oval Office: SVU?” the late-night host tweeted in response to the address from the president.

The tweet was a reference to the long-running NBC crime procedural television series “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit,” which is called “Law and Order: SVU” for short.

Not many responded warmly to Meyers’ tweet.

“Just wondering if there was anything less funny than Seth Meyers — turns out, it’s his twitter feed,” tweeted Fox News host Greg Gutfeld in response.

“I’m sure that’s hysterical to the families of the murder victims the president just discussed,” NBC host Megyn Kelly added.

“This won’t age well. Sick,” wrote a fan in response to Meyers.

Another responded, “Late night was better without you.”

Trump’s address on the importance of border security earned a lot of heated reactions out of Hollywood, but a handful of conservative artists stood up for the president’s right to speak and for the proposed border wall between the United States and Mexico.
