Musician Ariana Grande received some bad news this week after showing off a new tattoo of hers on Instagram.

The palm tattoo was what Grande thought was “7 Rings” in Japanese.

But — bummer! — social media users swiftly informed her that her tattoo roughly translates to “small charcoal grill.”

Grande quickly took the social media post down (“7 Rings” is the title of Grande’s latest single).

Having some fun at her expense, plenty of people have been posting pictures of Grande’s tattoo — next to images of grills.

One user wrote “BBQ Grill” on one hand — and humorously said the tattoo was “to match” Grande’s.

An outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, Grande originally explained her tattoo on Instagram this way: “Indeed, I left out ‘つの指’ which should have gone in between. It hurt like f*** [and] still looks tight. I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last, so if i miss it enough, i’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time.”

Some found this explanation to be downright silly.

One Twitter user called her out for not admitting that she did not understand the foreign language.

Another said Grande only saw the Japanese language as an “aesthetic.”

Grande also recently made headlines for covering up a tattoo of hers that celebrated her ex-fiance Pete Davidson’s father — a cop who died on 9/11 — with a tribute to recently deceased singer Mac Miller, another one of her ex-boyfriends.

The tattoo was originally Davidson’s father’s badge number — but it now shows the name Myron.

That’s the name of the dog she and Mac Miller shared while they dated.
