Lady Gaga went down a political path at a concert in Las Vegas over the weekend. She attacked both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence during a performance of her song “Million Reasons” — and used vulgar language to boot.
As a video taken at the concert shows,, Gaga stopped in the middle of her performance and wondered aloud if “the f***ing president of the United States could please put our government back in business.”
She said government workers who live paycheck-to-paycheck are suffering right now. The singer’s audience applauded the statement.
The musician and “A Star Is Born” actress did not stop there.
She went on to criticize Pence’s faith and also that of Karen Pence, his wife, for teaching at a religious school.
The second lady recently began teaching art again, two days a week, at a Bible-based Christian school.
“And to Mike Pence, who thinks it’s acceptable that his wife worked at a school that bans LGBTQ — you are wrong,” Gaga declared.
“So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
The entertainer continued her remarks by saying Mike Pence is “the worst representation” of Christianity.
“You said we should not discriminate against Christianity. You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome,” the 32-year-old artist said.
“So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
Gaga also recently said President Trump is “driven by ignorance.”
The musician is currently favored to be nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for her work in the hit film “A Star Is Born.” The $36 million film garnered big praise from critics and so far has earned over $200 million at the domestic box office.
