Lady Gaga (pictured above left) is distancing herself from fellow musician R. Kelly (above right) after multiple women accused the rapper of sexual misconduct.

Though Kelly has faced allegations for years, it was a recent Lifetime docuseries that painted him in an unfavorable light — and drew attention to his alleged victims.

Kelly has denied the accusations leveled in the docuseries, which is titled “Surviving R. Kelly.”

“I stand by anyone who has ever been the victim of sexual assault,” Lady Gaga wrote on Twitter following “Surviving R. Kelly.”

The tweet was accompanied by a public statement in which Gaga said she would pull a past duet between her and R. Kelly from streaming services.

“I stand by these women 1,000 percent, believe them, know they are suffering and in pain, and feel strongly that their voices should be heard and taken seriously,” the musician’s statement said.

Gaga said her collaboration with R. Kelly on the song “Do What U Want (With My Body)” was made during a dark period in her life.

“I think it’s clear how explicitly twisted my thinking was at the time,” she wrote.

“I have demonstrated my stance on this issue and others many times throughout my career,” Gaga’s statement continued. “I’m sorry, both for my poor judgment when I was young, and for not speaking out sooner. I love you.”

Gaga has said in the past that she was sexually assaulted when she was 19 years old by a man who was more than 20 years her senior.

Her removal of a duet with Kelly from streaming services marks another professional hit for him, after the streaming service Spotify removed his songs from auto-generated playlists last year.

The company made the move as part of its policy of handling “hate” content and conduct.

Gaga is currently earning praises for her performance in “A Star Is Born,” which has earned over $202 million domestically on a $36 million production budget.

She was recently nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama at the Golden Globes.

She is a frontrunner for the Best Actress Academy Award.
