Five Houston Officers Have Been Shot, Rushed to Hospital
Scene is still developing — police had a dramatic encounter on Monday with a 'suspect'
What I have been able to ascertain so far, on early Monday night, is that one suspect has been shot — while two are barricaded in the house, allegedly.
Five Houston police officers have been shot in southeast Houston, Police Chief Art Acevedo of the Houston Police Department confirmed.
“We have had several officers shot. Please pray for officers,” Acevedo tweeted.
The wounded officers are being rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital and Ben Taub in the Texas Medical Center.
This is an active and developing story.
