Although Hollywood conservatives have supported President Donald Trump’s border wall for years, one prominent leftist recently came out in reluctant support of it.

Pop singer Cher is known for her left-wing activism.

But she recently announced she thinks Democrats should end the partial government shutdown — which is on its 20th day — by giving Trump the $5.7 billion in wall funding that he and conservative lawmakers believe is necessary to protect America’s southern border.

She tweeted, “FOR trump THIS IS POLITICAL … BUT REAL PPL ARE REALLY SUFFERING!! WHERE WAS THE F****** CRISIS 1 MONTH AGO, 1YR AGO!? WHERE HAS IT BEEN FOR THE LAST 2 YRS. HAVING SAID THAT, NANCY YOU ARE A HERO LET HIM HAVE HIS F******* MONEY!! PPL WILL STARVE LOSE THEIR HOMES, B UNABLE 2 C DRS.”

In a now-deleted tweet, Cher also urged Democrats to be careful about their protests over border wall funding when Trump is standing so firm on the issue.

“HE’LL B HERO… HE’LL EAT UR LUNCH & STEAL UR LUNCH YOU’LL B F***** 6 WAYS 2 SUNDAY. DONT DIE ON THIS HILL. HE STOPS AT NOTHING.”

Though Cher is willing to give Trump the wall — she also made it clear one day earlier  that she still despises the president.

“trump HAD 2 YRS 2 LIE WOLF, ALL BRANCHES Of GOV, & TOTAL CORRUPT POWER, WHERE WAS HIS CRISIS THEN. WHAT HUMANITARIAN CRISIS IS HE SPEAKING OF, THE ONE WHERE HE RIPPED BABIES FROM MOMS’ ARMS … OR WHERE HIS ADMINISTRATION KILLED 2 7YRS OLD HE HAS NO [heart].”

She added, “Trump said, ‘Mexico Will Pay 4 it.’ ‘Wall Will Pay 4 Itself.’ HOW BOUT BILLIONS IN MAINTENANCE EVERY YR!? Trump’ll LIE & SAY ‘IT’S NEW SELF CLEANING WALL, FENCE, HEDGE, BAMBOO CURTAIN, IRON CURTAIN, CHINTZ CURTAIN, VENETIAN BLIND. STOP LYING & STOP THE F****** SHUTDOWN NOW. START SNAP.”

While it is shocking that Cher would be OK with the border security wall after all her previous commentary, her vitriol toward the president is nothing new.

After all, she has called Trump a “liar” and a “traitor” and said he is ruining America.

She claimed Trump would do a photo op with Adolf Hitler if he thought it would make him more popular among his supporters.

In November, she also said America will not be great in her lifetime because of Trump.

“The more we get mixed, the more we are tolerant. Eventually, it’s going to be great,” she said. “But I don’t know if I’ll see it in my lifetime, because Trump has done so much damage and I’m not sure people really understand how deep the damage goes.”
