A group of “Angel Moms” — mothers of victims killed by illegal immigrants in the U.S. — entered Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) Washington, D.C., office on Tuesday to protest peacefully and demand the border wall funding that President Donald Trump has been requesting.

The government partially shut down in late December after Democratic lawmakers refused to give Trump the $5 billion he said was needed for the security wall funding.

Attempts to negotiate a compromise have been futile thus far, as Schumer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are still refusing to give a cent toward the wall.

Trump delivered his first Oval Office address a week ago; the major TV networks carried it during prime time. The president asked Democrats to join Republicans in combating the “growing humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border.”

Trump asked the congressional Democrats, “How much more American blood must we shed before Congress does its job?”

But the Democrats’ new talking point — as well as many members of the mainstream media’s — is calling the illegal immigration and border crisis a “manufactured crisis” that the GOP designed to force the wall funding.

Controversial far-Right One America News (OAN) host Jack Posobiec tweeted a video on Tuesday showing the group of Angel Moms entering Schumer’s office and speaking to staffers inside.

Mary Ann Mendoza, an Angel Mom whose police officer son died in 2014 at the hands of a drunk illegal immigrant driver with a criminal record, spoke inside the office.

“We are here because as mothers and women, we protect our families and we know what needs to be done to protect our family and our children and our loves ones. And the politicians who are here in D.C. are not doing the job,” Mendoza said.

“And so it’s time that we the people speak up, stand up and visit the people who are not doing our bidding and get the wall done,” Mendoza continued.

She pointed to two recent victims: Pierce Corcoran, a 22-year-old Tennessean; and Newman Police Department Cpl. Ronil “Ron” Singh of California, who was a legal immigrant.

“Pierce never should have been killed, you know? Along with Officer Singh over there in California. And it just keeps adding up,” Mendoza said.

“It’s happening more than Americans know, and that’s what AngelFamilies.com — that’s what we fight for, to make sure that our voices are heard and that laws will be implemented to protect Americans.”
