While Pat Sajak may be known for hosting the nationally syndicated television game show “Wheel of Fortune,” he recently made clear there is one television event he does not particularly like — but he has a solution for the problem.

Last week, comedian Kevin Hart announced he will not be hosting the next Academy Awards after a number of homophobic tweets from 2009 to 2011 were unearthed on his Twitter feed.

After facing sharp backlash, Hart apologized for his words (he’d already apologized years ago) and stepped down from hosting the event.

In response to this — and given the political spectacle the event has turned into in recent years — Sajak tweeted out over the weekend a possible solution to the problem.

“Here’s a quick fix for the Academy Awards show: Expand it to two nights,” he wrote.

“On the first night, give out awards, and celebrate the history and wonder of movies,” he added.

“On the second night, hold your political rally.”

In recent years, the event has become nothing more than a virtue-signaling fest for the Left. Late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted the latest installment of it earlier this year and during it, he said President Donald Trump would enjoy the first three quarters of the movie “Get Out” — because it focuses on racism, while the last quarter of the movie centers around the black protagonist fighting back against his white captors.

Kimmel also said this about the movie “Call Me By Your Name,” “We don’t make movies like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ to make money,” said Kimmel. “We make them to upset Mike Pence.”

The film he referenced, which was nominated for Best Picture, focuses on the romantic relationship between a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy.

Unlike much of Hollywood, Sajak does not seem to find humor in such remarks.

Kimmel also said this about the movie “Call Me By Your Name,” “We don’t make movies like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ to make money. We make them to upset Mike Pence.”

He is conservative, had a column at Human Events, has written for National Review, and donates thousands of dollars to Republican candidates.

That said, he is also not afraid to speak out on social media against the Left, celebs and today’s PC culture.

During President Trump’s State of the Union speech back in January, Sajak ripped Democrats who refused to stand up and applaud the president. He joked, “What a great prank! Somebody put glue on half of the seats at State of the Union Address!”

In March, he poked fun at his celebrity peers who use their platforms to go on left-wing rants.

He wrote, “I’m tired of sitting on the sidelines. Time to get involved, take a stand, make a difference.”

“Announcing [the] formation of Celebrities Who Mind Their Own Business. Join me now,” he added. “Before it’s too late. #CWMTOB.”

And in October, Sajak said, “I think I’d rather be deplorable than despicable.”

That was his way of subtly taking sides with the Trump supporters, whom Hillary Clinton called “deplorable” during her 2016 presidential campaign.

Not to mention that Sajak tweeted out a poll just before the midterm election results in November, asking Republicans, “In the event your party loses control of the House, what will you do on Wednesday?”

In response, 96 percent of his poll participants said, “Go to work” — instead of, “Scream at the sky” or “Demonstrate at Capitol” — mocking the Left’s incessant and out-of-control protests after President Trump won the 2016 election.
