A newly signed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals gave a heartwarming Christmas gift to his parents in a video uploaded Tuesday.

The 22-year-old Brady Singer was picked 18th overall by the Royals in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.

He recently received his $4.25 million signing bonus.

In the video Singer posted to social media, his parents, Jacquelyn and Brett, can be seen holding back tears as they read their son’s letter detailing the immense love and support he explained they had given him over the years.

The letter specified the years of training camps, the sports gear, the travel and the hotel costs — all which his parents had taken care of financially, as they wanted their son to have nothing but the best.

Toward the end of the letter, Brady revealed he’d paid all of off their debts — in their entirety.

“Thank you for everything you’ve done to help me reach my dreams,” said the first-round draft pick to his parents.

“There’s absolutely no way I could have done all this by myself.”

“We have some special people in this organization,” the Royals team tweeted about the event on its official Twitter account.

Singer grew up in Eustis, Florida, and went on to play for the University of Florida.

He is the most recent winner of the Dick Howser Trophy, which is awarded to the national college baseball player of the year.

“Both of you constantly took off work and spent every dime you made just to put a smile on my face. My smile and appreciation for both of you has never stopped and it never will,” said Singer of his parents.

In his senior season with the Gators, Singer went 8–3 with a 1.25 earned run average (ERA) and 110 strikeouts over a total of 67 innings.

The Royals’ opening day is currently scheduled for Thursday, March 28, against the Chicago White Sox.

The game will take place at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

“Your giving hearts helped to shape my tiny dream into a reality,” wrote Singer to conclude his letter to his parents.
