ABC News’ “The View” co-host Joy Behar reportedly threatened to quit the show on Monday following an uncomfortably explosive argument with co-host Meghan McCain on the air, according to an exclusive report from The Daily Mail.

It is nothing new for “The View” co-hosts to argue with one another and engage in heated debates — but the segment on Monday was unusually vicious.

The ladies were discussing the life and legacy of former President George H.W. Bush, who served as the nation’s 41st president from 1989 to 1993 and passed away at age 94 in his home in Houston on Friday night.

But the segment began to sour after Behar (pictured above left) used the opportunity to bash President Donald Trump by comparing him with Bush.

And McCain (above right) didn’t tolerate that.

Behar claimed Trump “is trying to unravel everything that [Bush] did and [former President Barack] Obama did.”

“And if I ever become a one-issue voter, it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect and the fact that —” Behar said before McCain pounced.

McCain asked, “Can we focus on the president, please. I just — I don’t want to talk about Trump.”

Behar fired back, “Well, I do for a second. So excuse me.”

The two of them argued for a bit before McCain told Behar, “I’m not interested in your one-issue” voting concern.

An incensed Behar retorted, “I don’t care what you are interested in. I’m talking! Damn it!”

The two continued to shout over each other until co-host Whoopi Goldberg abruptly called for a commercial break.

But as the camera panned out, Behar could be seen slamming her cue cards on the table and pointing at McCain as the two continued arguing with co-host Sunny Hostin sitting in between them.

A source told The Daily Mail that Behar shouted, “My God!” and, “Get this b**** under control.”

It’s ironic that Kid Rock called Behar a “b****” last week, which led all of “The View” co-hosts, including McCain, to come to Behar’s defense.

“If this s*** doesn’t stop I’m quitting this damn show. I can’t take this much more,” Behar reportedly ranted.

“I’ve tolerated a lot of s*** on this show but I’m at my wit’s end with this entitled b****. Enough already! Enough already! I’m not playing nice any longer.”

Producers allegedly tried to deescalate the feud, but to no avail.

The source described the situation on set to The Mail as “chaos.”

McCain reportedly replied, “I don’t know why she’s so upset … I just wanted her to focus on President [George H.W.] Bush and not bring Trump into this for once.”

Producers “have been fearful that things were becoming combustible again … but were hoping the two could make it through until the December hiatus later this month so that everyone could have a few weeks to relax.”

When McCain returned to “The View” in October following the death of her father, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), her co-hosts reportedly “handled her very delicately because they were told by network executives that she was ‘very fragile’ and ‘still in deep grief’ seven weeks after her father’s funeral,” according to the outlet.

But as McCain and Behar repeatedly clashed in recent weeks, producers “have been fearful that things were becoming combustible again … but were hoping the two could make it through until the December hiatus later this month so that everyone could have a few weeks to relax. As you see, that didn’t happen,” the source said.
