The movie “Vice” is not even out in theaters yet, but because it is set to be anti-George W. Bush and anti-Dick Cheney, Hollywood is already lauding it.

The film, scheduled to be released in the United States on Christmas Day, has already been nominated for six Golden Globe Awards.

That’s more than any other movie that has been released this year.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced its list of nominations on Thursday and “Vice” earned nominations for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; Best Performance by an Actor, Musical or Comedy (Christian Bale as Dick Cheney); Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture (Amy Adams as Lynne Cheney); Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture (Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush); Best Director, Motion Picture (Adam McKay); and Best Screenplay, Motion Picture (Adam McKay).

So what exactly is it about?

The film is listed as a comedy, drama and biography on IMDb, which says it is “the story of Dick Cheney (Christian Bale), an unassuming bureaucratic Washington insider, who quietly wielded immense power as vice president to George W. Bush, reshaping the country and the globe in ways that we still feel today.”

The film is directed by Adam McKay, one of the most leftist directors in Hollywood; he’s said in interviews that he despises Cheney and that he would take President Donald Trump over him (naturally he insulted the sitting president as well).

“Dick Cheney was the safe-cracker, the professional you brought in who knew all the ins and outs of our government,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“He was the ultimate gamesman. With Trump, the front door to the White House is wide open. There’s deer and dogs and hyenas running around. And this guy is like an orangutan just throwing s*** around.”

“But Cheney was the grand master who finished the deal,” he added. “Donald Trump has no belief system. So I would take the hyenas, the random wild animals running through the White House over Cheney any day of the week.”

The film’s cast should also give viewers an idea of how the movie will portray conservatives.

It stars Christian Bale (shown at the top of this article) as Dick Cheney, a man who called Trump’s America “a genuine tragedy.”

Bale reportedly gained 40 pounds for his role as Cheney.

Steve Carell of “The Office” fame, who portrays former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld in the movie, has appeared on “Saturday Night Live” to make fun of Trump for his net worth.

And Brad Pitt, who labeled President Trump “toxic” last month, and Will Ferrell, who campaigned for Democrat Stacey Abrams in the Georgia gubernatorial race in November, are listed as producers of the film.
