An “honest vote count” for the Florida gubernatorial and Senate elections is “no longer possible” because of the number of “massively infected” ballots counted in Broward County, President Donald Trump warned on Monday on Twitter.

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes and the county became engulfed in controversy in the days following Tuesday’s midterm elections when GOP candidates’ comfortable leads over Democratic candidates sank enough over the next several days as ballots kept pouring in to trigger recounts.

Outgoing Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) and Governor-Elect Ron DeSantis (R) still hold slim margins of victory over incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson (D) and Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum (D), respectively.

Scott (pictured above left) filed two lawsuits against Broward County and Palm Beach County as the two Democrat-majority counties continued to count an unknown number of ballots past the state-mandated deadline.

Trump, who has been highly critical of Broward County as the controversy has deepened, took to Twitter to express his outrage over officials’ failure to comply fully with Florida election laws.

“The Florida Election should be called in favor of Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in that large numbers of new ballots showed up out of nowhere, and many ballots are missing or forged. An honest vote count is no longer possible — ballots massively infected. Must go with Election Night!” Trump tweeted.

Scott appeared Monday on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” to discuss his next steps, saying, “We won the election.”

“We’re going to win the recount because it’s never been overturned before. I’m going to Washington as the next Florida senator. I have got a whole agenda how to make Washington a better place for all of us,” Scott said. “Bill Nelson (above right) is clearly a sore loser. He can’t stand the fact that he is not going to be elected, for what — the first time in decades?”

“And he’s just here to steal this election,” Scott continued. “No — he wants to win the election. That’s his only purpose.”

Noting that Florida laws “are set up to prevent fraud,” Scott blasted county officials for their lack of “transparency.”

“There was no transparency. They are supposed to tell us where all of [these ballots] was coming from, how many ballots, all these things. We know mysteriously 93,000 new ballots showed up after Election Day. We know that Brenda Snipes has said that she took illegal ballots and put them in with legal ballots. She admitted that,” Scott said.

“We know that they continue to try to count after the deadline, which was noon on Saturday,” he also said.

“But in the end, I have 12,600 more votes than Bill Nelson. I won the election,” Scott added. “So my focus now is, you know, we’ll watch this recount process. No recount has ever overturned a lead like that.”

Scott said the ultimate gaol is for Florida to ensure that a scandal like this never happens again “so no one else has to go through this.”

“We have passed legislation to make sure that we had free and fair elections. The problem we have is supervised elections are locally elected. We have the expectation that they comply with the law to prevent fraud, so, my focus right now is getting the Florida department of law enforcement in there to review, to make sure that we end up with a free and fair election,” Scott said.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) also appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Monday to bash Democratic officials in the two Florida counties for their ineptitude, saying, “If you only count all the legitimate votes, they lose.”

“That is the kind of attitude — it’s a long tradition of the Democratic Party, which stole both Illinois and Texas in 1960. And if they can get away with it, they will. It is about power. It is not about the system,” said Gingrich.
