Musician Lady Gaga (pictured above left) is the latest celebrity to go out of her way to help out during the devastation that is the wildfires eating away at California.

Over 40 people have died, many have lost homes and many more have fled the state.

Gaga took to her Instagram on Tuesday to reveal she was headed to a shelter for people who have been forced to evacuate their homes. The musician said she too has evacuated her home.

“I’m on my way now to a shelter in California to be with people who have evacuated their homes. It’s one of my acts of kindness for today and I encourage you to do the same,” the “Born This Way” singer said in the post.

A photo on her Instagram showed her bringing boxes of pizza into the shelter.

“Fresh hot pizza, coffee and gift cards for the shelter,” she wrote.

She later thanked the Red Cross in a post.

“Thank you to the Red Cross for all you are doing to provide shelter, love, and mental health support to the people of California,” Gaga wrote.

Gaga had previously stopped by another shelter on Sunday where she spoke to the people staying there and offered prayers.

“This is not easy. I know this is not easy. And I know that a lot of you are feeling a lot of pain right now, and a lot of shock, and this might feel very surreal,” she said to people in the shelter in a video released by TMZ. “I extend my love to each and every one of you. I know we do not know each other, but I love you.”

Other celebrities to help out in California include actor James Woods, chef Guy Fieri, actress Sandra Bullock, and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.

Musician Miley Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth have also joined in on the charity. The two lost their home to the fires and recently pledged half a million dollars to Malibu recovery efforts.

“Miley and Liam lost their home but are very grateful to be safe along with their animals!” a public statement from Cyrus’ representative reads. “Their community and state are very special to them and they want to give back to the place that has created so many beautiful memories for themselves and others. They are donating $500,000 to The Malibu Foundation through Miley’s charity, Happy Hippie, in hopes to restore Malibu’s magic.”

Lady Gaga currently stars in the hit film “A Star Is Born,” a $36 million production that has brought in over $170 million at the domestic box office.
