Congresswoman Martha McSally (shown above), the Arizona Republican senatorial candidate currently in a neck-and-neck race to the finish with Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, joined host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday morning on “The Laura Ingraham Show” as polls began opening in the Grand Canyon State.
“Get off the sidelines,” McSally said — urging voters to get out and vote and to encourage their friends and neighbors to do likewise.

She warned that the electorate’s complacency — driven, ironically, by satisfaction with the current state of affairs — could be problematic for Republicans at the polls today.
“If you’re happy, if you like the direction the country is going in — oftentimes happiness brings complacency, right? The Left is on fire with anger, fear, and resistance, and that’s motivated them to organize and get out there. So we’ve just got to make sure that we stop Kyrsten Sinema from being our next senator.”
“The balance of the Senate, as you know, is in play through these races,” she added.
The race for the Senate in Arizona is among the country’s very tightest.
As of Tuesday morning, the RealClear Politics’ average had McSally up .2 points, landing the state in a toss-up situation.
“[Sinema] is not the kind of person we want to be our next senator,” said McSally, who called her opponent a “flaming Left liberal.”
McSally cited Sinema’s protesting of our troops, her helping illegal aliens cross the border, and her mocking Arizona as demonstrations that she is not the right candidate to represent Arizona voters.
“This is so high-stakes,” said McSally of a race currently in a dead heat, according to the polls.
“The only poll that matters is when they count up the ballots.”
Though she described Democrat enthusiasm in early ballot returns as “very high,” the Air Force’s first female combat pilot and squadron commander said she was counting on GOP supporters to get their early ballots posted or get to the polls today.

“A lot of our faithful voters still haven’t turned their early ballots back in,” the congresswoman said.
“The health care issue has been distorted and used against Republicans coast to coast,” said Ingraham, noting that Sinema, McSally’s former anti-war Green Party activist opponent, had been hitting her particularly hard on this topic.
“These are just lies. They don’t have anything to run on, so they are just running on fear.”
“Because of the failures of Obamacare, we have so many people, right now, who are uncovered and don’t have health insurance and health care — and many of them with pre-existing conditions,” said McSally, who also pointed to high premiums and deductibles and limited choices in several Arizona counties.
“The health care issue has been distorted and used against Republicans coast to coast,” said host Laura Ingraham, noting that Sinema, McSally’s former anti-war Green Party activist opponent, had been hitting her particularly hard on this topic.
“We’re moving toward more state flexibility, more options, trying to create better choices,” said McSally.
“It protects people with pre-existing conditions. It demands that they are able to get coverage.”
“We’re going to sprint through the tape until 7 p.m., when the polls close,” McSally concluded.
