Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) thinks that more jobs for more Americans “will mean little” to families because of the GOP’s other policies, such as the historic tax cuts that Democrats think have harmed voters.

“Latest jobs numbers may look good but don’t forget they coexist with a huge deficit-ballooning GOP tax break mainly for corporations for which we’ll pay a price down the road,” Schumer (pictured above left) warned on Twitter on Friday.

“When families see their health care costs go up because of GOP actions, these numbers will mean little,” he also wrote.

Schumer made his comments the same day the U.S. Department of Labor released its October Jobs Report — and just four days before the contentious midterm elections.

Approximately 250,000 new jobs were added to the economy in October, bringing the total number of new jobs to 4.5 million since November 2016.

The report also showed that employment in this country has hit a record high of 156,562,000.

“Over the past year, we have had the largest increase in average hourly earnings since 2009. It is encouraging to see that Americans are seeing more in their paychecks as job creators compete for the best talent in the workforce,” Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta said in a statement Friday.

“The October jobs report added more positive news to the soaring Trump economy. Gross Domestic Product for the third quarter was 3.5 percent and consumer confidence is the highest in more than 18 years,” Acosta also said.

“Investing in the American workforce will continue to build great returns for our nation.”

President Donald Trump took to Twitter to tout the jobs report, writing, “Wow! The U.S. added 250,000 Jobs in October — and this was despite the hurricanes. Unemployment at 3.7%. Wages UP! These are incredible numbers. Keep it going, Vote Republican!”

Even Jared Bernstein, a former chief economist and economic adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, gushed over the good economic news.

“Pretty much everything you could want in a monthly jobs report. Payroll gains way better than expected, nice pop in labor force participation, wage growth continues to strengthen, finally beating inflation (real gains!). Score 1 for ‘room-to-run’ crowd!” Bernstein tweeted.

But these glowing numbers appeared to matter little to Democrat Schumer, who assumed “these numbers will mean little” to other Americans, as well, who are benefiting from the booming economy.

Americans are headed toward the ballot box on November 6. Although it looks difficult for the GOP to maintain control of the House, Republicans are set to pick up a few Senate seats, thus further cementing their majority there.

Democrats are struggling to bridge the divide between their increasingly vocal progressive wing and the moderate message their vulnerable incumbent senators are trying to run on in purple or red states.

“The latest jobs numbers prove it: .@realDonaldTrump and Republicans are taking us forward. [House Minority Leader] Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Chuck Schumer would take us backward,” Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel tweeted.
