“The View” co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Abby Huntsman engaged in a tense shouting match on Friday as Huntsman accused Hostin and other “cable pundits” of thinking “they know everything about what’s going on behind closed doors” with the Trump administration’s Russia policies.

Huntsman (shown above center), of course, is the daughter of President Donald Trump’s U.S. ambassador to Russia, Jon Huntsman Jr.

Trump flew to the two-day G20 summit in Argentina on Thursday to meet with key world leaders. But on the flight over, Trump announced his decision to cancel his planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing his opposition to Russia’s refusal to release the Ukrainian ships and sailors seized on Sunday.

The week has also been filled with an onslaught of news related to special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia — a probe that is finally winding down.

Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty on Thursday to lying to Congress in response to Mueller’s court charge. Cohen admitted he lied about his business dealings with Russia and the Trump Organization during Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The Cohen news came a few days after Mueller’s team accused embattled former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort of repeatedly lying to them. And on Friday, Mueller’s team revealed it’s considering whether or not to retry Manafort with new charges, including obstruction of justice.

Many in the mainstream media practically salivated over the week’s dramas as they speculated about whether Trump would serve out his full first term in office. And Huntsman was not having it.

A conversation on “The View” Friday that began with the “optics” of Trump’s decision not to meet with Putin quickly turned heated after Huntsman urged her colleagues to “look at the substance of the policy under the Trump administration when you’re dealing with Putin and Russia.”

Huntsman said one “could argue that they’ve been tougher than any administration since the Cold War” on Russia.

“So you can talk about the optics, you can talk about his tweets … But no one ever talks about the actual issues and what’s being done to combat Russia, because that’s not the shiny object,” Huntsman said.

“No one cares about that,” she added. “No one gives the president credit for anything that he does right. That’s what I can’t stand.”

Co-host Joy Behar (above left) chimed in at this point, somehow accusing Trump of violating his “America First” policies during the campaign by formulating a business deal with Russia that ultimately went nowhere.

“How can he now — what’s the word — have diplomacy with Russia when they have him in their pocket? “ Behar wondered. “So it doesn’t really work.”

Trump, of course, was for decades a businessperson before he ever ran for office.

Huntsman pointed out that Trump was “not the only one doing diplomacy” with Russia in the Trump administration.

Co-host Meghan McCain launched into a list of questionable Russia diplomacy statements made by previous presidents.

“I mean, President [Barack] Obama met with Putin six months after taking office in Moscow … Obama talked about ‘the extraordinary work you’ve done, Putin, on behalf of the Russian people,”’ McCain said. “President Bush said, ‘I looked the man in the eyes. I found him to be very straightforward. I was able to get a sense of his soul.’”

And “Bill Clinton talked about the congenial, easygoing relationship he had with Putin. This is something that’s been building and building and normalizing,” McCain argued.

Behar fired back that Trump’s predecessors “weren’t making deals with” Putin like the ones the Trump Organization officials contemplated.

The segment went further downhill when Hostin (above right) chimed in, saying it “strikes me as odd” that the Cohen “bombshell gets dropped” just prior to Trump’s decision to cancel the Putin meeting.

“But now he’s saying the reason he’s not meeting with Putin is because he’s upset because they haven’t returned the Navy sailors to the Ukraine,” Hostin said. “Um, when was he concerned about the Ukraine?”

Huntsman interrupted vehemently, yelling, “Really, Sunny? Trump has actually been tougher on Ukraine than President Obama was. The first thing he did with Russia when he got into office was put sanctions on Russia as it relates to the Ukraine.”

“If you want to talk about the Mueller investigation, let’s have that talk and the dealings that Trump had with Russians before he got into office,” said Huntsman. “But if you want to talk about actual diplomacy and things that are happening with Russia, that is a very different thing.”

An incredulous Hostin asked, “You believe he canceled the meeting because he’s so concerned about the Ukraine?”

“I can tell you because I talked to my dad who lives in Moscow and deals with this every single day — they were already figuring this out before he decided to cancel it,” Huntsman fired back, before lambasting Hostin and other mainstream media members for their anti-Trump biases.

“Abby is 100 percent right … Nobody cared until the election. So don’t tell me this isn’t politically motivated.”

“So what drives me nuts are cable pundits that think they know everything about what’s going on behind closed doors on diplomacy and come out on television and give facts that are actually inaccurate, when I’m actually talking to people that are in those discussions and know what’s going on,” Huntsman shouted.

Guest co-host Ana Navarro weighed in as well — and she and Huntsman began shouting over each other.

McCain also lectured the media, yelling, “I’m sorry, but the normalizing of what happened with Putin happened under Democrats’ watch, as well. Abby is 100 percent right on it … Nobody cared until the election. So don’t tell me this isn’t politically motivated.”
