The wildfires in California have been devastating to many of the state’s residents.

The fires have no prejudice when it comes to their targets; people from all walks of life are dealing with the same destruction.

While it is a time of great suffering — over 30 people have reportedly died — it’s also been a time for people to come together to unite in their fight against the devastation.

Actor James Woods has created a small community as he has turned his Twitter account into an emergency broadcast channel where he has helped to connect loved ones looking for each other in the fires.

Many celebrities have had to evacuate because of the fires and some have even lost their homes. They are now posting positive messages about the future and thanking the first responders who helped to keep them and their loved ones safe.

Here is a look at five celebrities who have been left without homes following the wildfires.

Gerard Butler. The actor (pictured above left), who currently stars in the military thriller “Hunter Killer,” revealed in a photo posted to his Instagram that the California fires have taken away his Malibu home.

“Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment. If you can, support these brave men and women at SupportLAFD.org,” the Scottish-born actor wrote along with a picture of his destroyed home.

Robin Thicke.  Musician Robin Thicke (pictured above right) and his pregnant girlfriend April Love Geary evacuated their home on Friday after smoke invaded their neighborhood.

Thicke posted a picture the next day of his eight-year-old son Julian sitting where their home used to be.

“Contemplating next move … ” was all Thicke wrote along with the photo.

He later followed up with a statement to fans saying, “We are safe and surrounded by friends and family.”

He also applauded first responders for their work fighting the fires.

“As we drove to safety, they risked their lives trying to save our homes,” he wrote on Instagram.

Scott Derrickson. The director of such films as “Doctor Strange” and “Sinister” revealed through Twitter that his Malibu home had burned to the ground.

“Just a quick update to say that I’m overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of love and support. Thank you to everyone who messaged me, and for the dozens upon dozens of you who offered us a place to stay,” he recently tweeted. “We are blessed and grateful to be safe and so loved.”

The “update” included pictures of the remains of his house.

Miley Cyrus.  The singer (pictured above middle) revealed on Twitter on Monday that her Malibu home “no longer stands.”

“Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community,” the singer posted. “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA country Sheriff’s department! If you are interested in getting involved see next tweet….Donate $ , Time , Supplies. I love you more than ever , Miley,” the musician wrote.

She then provided links to organizations people could donate to if they want to help.

Neil Young. Musician Neil Young used the loss of his home as an opportunity to attack President Donald Trump.

In a statement posted to his website, Young went after a recent tweet from the president partly blaming the California fires on poor forest management in California.

“California is vulnerable — not because of poor forest management, as DT (our so-called president) would have us think,” Young wrote. As a matter of fact this is not a forest fire that rages on as I write this. We are vulnerable because of Climate Change; the extreme weather events and our extended drought is part of it… Our temperatures are higher than ever here in our hottest summer on record. That has not helped. DT seems to be the Denier. (I’m holding back and not using the word liar just because it rhymes with denier.) It really is time for a reckoning with this unfit leader. Maybe our new Congress can help. I sure hope so.”
