Jimmy Kimmel spent part of his Thursday night bashing President Donald Trump — which is to be expected from him at this point — and praising Barack and Michelle Obama.
“You see how much we miss you? I mean, where did you go?” Kimmel said to Michelle Obama, who was there to promote her new book “Becoming.”
“We need you back in the old house.”
Kimmel then proceeded to compare Barack Obama to the comic book character Superman.
“You know how we feel?” he said. “You remember the first Superman movie, [with] Christopher Reeve. When he gave up his powers to save Lois Lane’s life and then he was powerless and then he got beat up in a diner, and he had to get his powers back to come save us from Lex Luther — that’s what we need from you and your husband.”
Michelle Obama also performed a comedy routine on the late-night program, in which she said things she supposedly wasn’t allowed to say while she was in the White House, including joking that she never ate a vegetable in her life and admitting to using Laura Bush’s Netflix password.
While promoting her new book — which reflects on her time in the White House, her feelings about the state of the country now and much more — Obama has become increasingly critical of the current president.

She revealed in a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey that she cried after Trump’s inauguration.
She also said she tried to “block it all out” when Trump won the presidency over Hillary Clinton, who served in the Obama administration for a time as secretary of state.
One thing the extreme Left has done — and it’s been stomach turning to watch — is to use its dissatisfaction with Trump’s presidency as a platform to praise the Obama administration’s eight years of running the country.
This group has seemed to ignore the fact that the current president sits in the White House precisely because — for eight years — the Obama administration did not listen to a good majority of this country or address its needs.

Even by leftist standards, the Obama administration was a massive failure and disappointment. But now leftists like to fawn over the former president and first lady in some weird attempt to make the current administration look even worse.
It’s not a good look, but it’s one that shouldn’t be all that surprising, coming from someone like the seemingly always-desperate Jimmy Kimmel.
