Anti-Trump Actress Blasts Leadership of the Women’s March

No stranger to left-wing activism, Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano (pictured above right) recently revealed that there will be one major anti-Trump event she plans to skip next year.

Although she promoted the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., over the past two years, Milano said she will not speak at it again next year (the event is scheduled for January 19).

Instead, she actually condemned the organizers of the event: Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory.

Milano noted that the two are supporters of Louis Farrakhan (above left), the leader of the Nation of Islam. The organization is labeled as an anti-white, anti-Semitic, anti-LGBT hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Farrakhan has called Jews “termites,” referred to Adolf Hitler as “a very great man,” and chanted “death to America” while in Iran earlier this week — smiling in the process.

Perhaps it is those sort of remarks Farrakhan has made that Milano finds unacceptable and is upset the Women’s March is not condemning.

“Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed,” Milano said in a recent interview with The Advocate. “I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that they haven’t done it adequately.”

She later added when speaking of Sarsour and Mallory, “Unfortunate that none of them have come forward against him [Farrakhan] at this point. Or even given a really good reason why to support them.”

Milano was one of the most notable speakers at the Women’s March last year and has engaged in her share of political activism in recent times. On Tuesday, she drove people to the polls to vote in the midterm elections, and earlier in the year, she was at the forefront of the opposition by Hollywood liberals to now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. She has also in the past suggested that Green Party votes were evidence of “Russian meddling” when she was unhappy about the results of the Ohio 12th District congressional special election back in August.

However, there are those rare times where Milano does not side with the Left unconditionally. In addition to her breaking with the Women’s March, she condemned former President Bill Clinton last month for his past sexual infidelity and alleged abuse. She backtracked on her self-professed love for the 42nd U.S. president and instead said he should have been investigated while in office and faced charges as well.

At the Women’s March earlier this year, speakers other than Milano included Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Wilde, Olivia Munn, Rose McGowan, and others. Now that Milano has publicly condemned the event organizers, one has to wonder if any other celebrities will do the same.
