Leftist late-night hosts were ringing the alarm bells on their shows on Thursday night over the White House’s revoking of CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press pass.

The punishment of Acosta came after a heated exchange with the president, in which Acosta refused to give up his microphone — or to accept President Donald Trump’s answer about why he has described the migrant caravan headed to the U.S.-Mexico border as an “invasion.”

“This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter’s colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question,” said White House press secretary Sarah Sanders on Twitter about the situation.

She also said, “President Trump has given the press more access than any president in history.”

She later shared a video showing Acosta having a physical scuffle with a White House intern as he refused to let go of the microphone and yield it to anyone else.

“In the last 48 hours, Donald Trump has points on the board. For instance, he’s banned a journalist. That’s very strongman. I’m not saying he’s Kim Jong-un, but he’s Kim Jong-ish,” Stephen Colbert said about the Acosta situation.

Jimmy Kimmel somehow took things a bit further by suggesting that Sarah Sanders “should be fired” from her position in the White House.

The leftist comedian was angry over the video Sanders shared of Acosta’s scuffle with the White House intern, claiming the footage was misleading.

“Jim Acosta clearly never touched that White House intern,” Kimmel said. “That’s just a lie and I think this might also be the first time I’ve seen Sarah Sanders take the woman’s side on anything.”

Whether Kimmel believes Acosta assaulted the White House intern or not or whether that video by Sanders was doctored or not, saying Acosta “never touched” the woman who was trying to take his microphone away is a ridiculous lie.

“Daily Show” host Trevor Noah also covered the Acosta scuffle and said, “First, let’s catch up on today’s headlines. If you watched President Trump’s crazy press conference yesterday, I’m sorry, and you probably know by now about his argument with CNN reporter Jim Acosta, which happens all the time, they’re like the 50 Cent and Ja Rule of politics” (50 Cent and Ja Rule are two long-feuding rappers).

The leftist comedian continued, “What’s … new is after the press conference the White House banned Jim Acosta from the press room because they say he assaulted the intern who tried to take his microphone away from him and this White House does not tolerate grabbing women by the arm. It’s only OK to grab them by the p**** like a gentleman.”

While late-night hosts were plenty scared about Jim Acosta’s loss of his press credentials at the White House, they are nowhere near as concerned about leftist thugs showing up at the home of Fox News host Tucker Carlson and instilling fear in his family simply because they disagree with Carlson’s politics.
