‘We’ll Never Know’ Truth on DOJ ‘Partisanship’ if Schiff Chairs Intel Panel

A Democratic midterm election win that puts Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) in charge of the House Select Committee on Intelligence will forever hide “the whole truth” about “the partisanship and politics” that led to special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) warned Wednesday on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“I think it’s so important that we find out what was going on inside the FBI and the DOJ [Department of Justice],” Duffy told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “Devin Nunes has been a dog on a bone, trying to figure out who the bad actors were.”

“Adam Schiff will scrap that investigation and we’ll never know the partisanship and politics in the lead-up to 2016 and how that transitioned into the Mueller investigation that’s still going after [President Donald] Trump today,” he warned.

Duffy was referring to Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who has led the intelligence panel’s investigation of the government’s spying on aides to President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, using allegations of collusion with Russian interests as the pretext for the activity.

Duffy emphasized that if Democrats reclaim the House after the November midterm elections, then Nunes (pictured above right) will lose his chairmanship and most likely forfeit it to Schiff (above left), who currently serves as the ranking Democrat on the panel.

Although polls show key Senate races looking relatively good for Republicans, the GOP faces an uphill battle in its struggle to retain the House after the midterm elections.

The stakes are incredibly high, and Duffy, Ingraham and former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy highlighted how crucial it is for Trump supporters to turn out on November 6 to retain a Republican House majority.

If Schiff supplants Nunes, McCarthy warned, “What you’re going to get is, you know — ‘Let’s look at the Trump Tower meeting. Let’s look at the financing behind Trump’s business empire. Let’s in particular look at the financing of the real estate aspect of his business.'”

“And of course, they’ll say they need [Trump’s] tax returns for that,” he added. “And, you know, we’ll be off to the races. That is what it will be for however long it lasts. However, I think it’ll be of great benefit politically to the president, but I don’t think the country will like it very much.”

Ingraham noted that Schiff has vowed to continue the hunt for “the Russian collusion that so far nobody’s been able to prove” between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia.

“[Democrats will] always overreach. They’re going to tangle everything up in these tangential issues that will not help a single American have a job, hold a job, and raise wages. None of that’s going to be accomplished,” she warned.

Duffy also said he’s worried about vehemently anti-Trump Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-Calif.) taking leadership of the House Committee on Financial Services, upon which she currently serves as the ranking Democrat. Duffy is a member of that committee as well.

“So, for me, the one that I’m most afraid of is Maxine Waters on Financial Services,” Duffy said. “And Maxine Waters, the leader of the impeach Trump movement, will chair this committee.”

Ingraham also pointed to other Democrats who would become chairmen of key committees if the party retook the House: Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) with the House Committee on the Judiciary, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) with the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and Rep. Richard Neal (D-Mass.) with the House Committee on Ways and Means.

These current ranking Democratic committee members have discussed going after Trump’s taxes, investigating his administration, potentially impeaching the president, investigating and impeaching Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and hamstringing Trump’s tax cuts, among other issues dear to liberals.

“Now, for all that’s facing Americans, all our potential — do we really want a prolonged inquisition of a sitting Supreme Court justice?” Ingraham asked. “So are you ready for Kavanaugh circus, part three?”

“The Left is salivating over all of these possibilities in a liberal House takeover,” she said. “If this band of liberal misfits and radicals takes the reins of power in the House come November, it’ll be scarier than Halloween, only the trick will be on the American people. And the treats? They’ll be given away to someone else.”
