President Donald Trump takes his Make America Great Again (MAGA) rally extravaganza to Murphysboro, Illinois, on Saturday to boost the campaign of Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.).
The lawmaker is in what appears to be a tighter than expected race against his Democratic challenger, Sean Casten.
Roskam is chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s subcommittee on tax policy, which makes him an important incumbent for House Republicans to defend in their effort to keep the majority.
The rally will be held at the Southern Illinois Airport; Trump’s expected to begin speaking about 5:30 p.m. EST.
