President Donald Trump heads to Lebanon, Ohio, Friday evening for a Make America Great Again (MAGA) rally in a state that is a perennial battleground to determine whether Democrats or Republicans will control the White House and Congress.

The rally is being held at the Warren County Fairgrounds and the president is expected to begin speaking at around 7 p.m. (EST).

The Lebanon MAGA event is Trump’s third one this week, as he is pulling out all the stops trying to maximize Republican turnout for the November 6 election.

Pundits all year have predicted a “blue wave” for the Democrats and party strategists remain hopeful of picking up at least 24 House seats to regain the majority in the lower chamber of Congress.

But Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), the House majority whip for the Republicans, thinks his party will retain control of the House, thanks to the Democrats’ disruptive and destructive tactics during the extremely bitter confirmation process for Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“Margaret Thatcher used to say, first you win the argument, then you win the vote,” he said. “They’re not winning the argument if they’re resorting to violence, and ultimately they’ll lose the vote if they continue to call on violence.”
