A video has surfaced of a very special moment that occurred last Wednesday between the Duke of Sussex — known the world over as Prince Harry — and one very enthusiastic and special little boy, and it’s now rocketing around the internet.

Prince Harry and his new wife, American Meghan Markle, were in Dubbo, Australia, as part of a royal tour, and were greeted at the airport by school children.

Among them: 5-year-old Luke Vincent, who has Down syndrome.

Vincent was the last child in line of children waiting to greet the royal couple as they arrived from Sydney. Vincent’s principal, Ann Van Dartel, Vincent’s school principal, made it clear to the children that they were not allowed to touch the royal couple, per royal protocol.

As Prince Harry approached the boy, “he kneeled down to greet him,” reported The Mighty. Vincent threw his arms around Prince Harry, and then rubbed his beard — and the prince playfully reached out to the boy and rubbed his chin.

Van Dartel was concerned when Vincent started rubbing Prince Harry’s face and hair, she told Britain’s Daily Mail.

“But Prince Harry was completely gracious and was so polite and realized what was happening and his infatuation with his beard,” she said.

Van Dartel said that Vincent has a “fascination” with beards. “His favorite person was Santa Claus, who has a beard … and now it’s Prince Harry,” she said.

Warren Brown, an Australian cartoonist, wanted to memorialize the moment.  He drew an illustration for Sydney’s Daily Telegraph; in his cartoon, a little boy with a checkered hat and glasses just like Vincent’s rubs the red beard of a smiling Prince Harry, who is kneeling down on one knee.

During the event, Vincent handed Markle a bouquet of flowers, said The Mighty. Prince Harry asked the boy, “Can you give her a hug, too?” While Vincent willingly hugged the Duchess of Sussex — to her obvious delight —  he returned to hug Prince Harry and rub his beard once more.
