Two packages containing crude explosive devices and addressed to the home of former Vice President Joe Biden were found on a Delaware street near a Wilmington post office and in New Castle late Wednesday.
The packages to Biden bring to 10 the total of apparently similar devices sent to prominent Democrats and other left-wing figures.
These include former President Barack Obama, former President and first lady Bill and Hillary Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, funder George Soros, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), and actor Robert De Niro.
Similar packages were also mailed to the New York bureau of CNN, a Florida congressional office of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), and former CIA Director John Brennan.
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that “the full weight and resources” of the federal government are being devoted to identifying the person or persons responsible for what the chief executive described as “despicable acts.”

Rep. Rick Crawford (R-Ga.), a former Army bomb disposal expert, said Wednesday night on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” that the crude design of the devices and the fact none of them detonated suggests the individual behind them mainly craves attention and seeks to scare people.
“I think it was probably designed to get attention. It was designed to be caught. And, while it may be a device that could function, I think it was designed, more than anything, to strike fear in the hearts of people they were intended to target — not necessarily to kill them,” said Crawford.
Speaking to a huge and enthusiastic crowd of supporters in Wisconsin Wednesday night, Trump condemned politically motivated violence in word and deeds.
“Those engaged in the political arena must stop treating political opponents as being morally defective. The language of moral condemnation, the destructive routine, these are arguments and disagreements that have to stop. No one should carelessly compare political opponents to historical villains, which is done often, it’s done all the time, it’s gotta stop,” he said.
Trump added that “as a part of a larger national effort to bridge our divides and bring people together, the media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and the constant negative and oftentimes false attacks, that has to go.”
Early Thursday, the president reiterated his message to the media, tweeting that “purposely false and inaccurate reporting” is responsible for “a very big part” of the currently toxic political environment.
A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News. It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!
