“It was not only racist — it was absolutely despicable,” Candace Owens, conservative commentator and communications director for Turning Point USA, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham on “The Ingraham Angle” Wednesday night, about a recent CNN segment in which Trump supporter Kanye West was called an “attention whore” and a “dumb Negro” for his conservative leanings.

The segment occurred on “CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.”

Its topic of discussion was a planned Thursday meeting at the White House between Kanye West and President Donald Trump.

West’s Trump support was waved off by one guest as “what happens when Negroes don’t read.”

Lemon’s response to the increasingly offensive comments?

He simply laughed it all off.

Fox News’ Ingraham said the rapper’s intelligence was questioned in “the most offensive way possible” by the network’s guests.

Owens added, “I cannot believe it [that segment] would be allowed on any network, least of all having a host that’s laughing as if it’s funny.”

Ingraham rightly pointed out the double standard as conservatives are constantly called racist, yet leftists are allowed to say “the most horrific things” about minority conservatives.

“The anger is masking their insecurity. They are terrified. They were not predicting this. They had no idea that there was any chance that conservatives might come after the culture war,” Owens said about the upset leftists are feeling over Kanye West’s support of Trump.

She added, “They won the culture war a long time ago, so for Kanye West to stand up and to say, ‘I support Donald Trump’ — that terrifies them. So they’re going to say whatever they can to smear him to make sure that no other black people wake up and understand that it has been the Left that has harmed our community.”

Despite backlash from leftists, Kanye West is showing no signs of backing down from his right-leaning views.

The rapper is not only meeting with Trump this week, but he also recently proclaimed his support of the president while performing on the leftist “Saturday Night Live.” West sported a Make America Great Again hat and called it his “Superman cape.”

Owens has met with West several times in the past, and the rapper has publicly praised the conservative commentator. She’s reportedly meeting with the rapper on Thursday morning before he visits the White House.
