First lady Melania Trump chose a stylish and patriotic outfit to attend ceremonies marking the 17th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.

The first lady and President Donald Trump on Tuesday boarded Air Force One to travel to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, for a memorial ceremony in honor of the 40 passengers and crew members who were aboard a fateful flight that day 17 years ago.

One of the hijacked planes on 9/11 — Flight 93 — crashed-landed in a field in that town after passengers bravely fought back against the hijackers and tried to take back control of the aircraft.

They were ultimately unable to gain control of the cockpit — and everyone aboard perished when the plane went down in the field.

Melania Trump wore a fitted and belted navy blue trench coat with white trim that ended just below the knees for the somber event.

She also donned matching stiletto heels, and wore her hair down in a loose and flowing style.

Her appearance was at once serious, befitting the occasion, and demurely stylish.

“Melania is all polish, no room for nonsense,” noted InStyle recently of the first lady’s fashion sense.

“Think of her Inauguration Day look: a shawl collar-esque, powder-blue Ralph Lauren skirt suit with matching tonal gloves and stilettos. The ensemble, though from an American designer, was more reminiscent of Jacqueline Kennedy’s Oleg Cassini …”

The first lady appeared moved by the events as her husband shared remarks with the assembled crowd.

President Donald Trump remembered the victims of the attacks, saying, “We honor their sacrifice by pledging to never flinch in the face of evil and to do whatever it takes to keep America safe.”

Trump recounted the attempts of the crew and passengers to retake control of the plane, and called the field where it crashed “a monument to American defiance.”

Trump also tweeted that Rudy Giuliani, who was New York City’s mayor at the time of the attacks, “did a GREAT job” in leading the city through those dark times.

Giuliani is now Trump’s personal lawyer and a vocal advocate for the president.

The first lady consistently maintains her demeanor as mainstream media and aggressive leftists sling arrows her way on an almost daily basis.

ABC’s “The View” co-host and comedian Joy Behar belittled first lady Melania Trump on CNN’s “Van Jones Show” recently, claiming that before Melania Trump met her now-husband President Donald Trump, she was “in Slovenia doing nothing.”

Behar told Jones that when she worked at HLN, Melania Trump had come on her show to, as she put it, “hawk her jewelry.”
