Anti-Trump lawyer Michael Avenatti has become a hero to leftist Hollywood.

With the announcement that he is representing a new Brett Kavanaugh accuser, many people took to Twitter to celebrate that news (shown above: Alyssa Milano on the left, Avenatti in the center, Rosie O’Donnell on the right).

His announcement on Twitter about the new accusations and a demand for an FBI investigation into the new sexual misconduct allegations against the Supreme Court nominee was retweeted by loud Hollywood leftists including director Rob Reiner (“Misery,” “Stand by Me”) and actress Patricia Arquette (“Medium,” “Bringing Out the Dead”).

Avenatti also called into the ABC chat show “The View” on Wednesday to discuss his new client and her accusations. Her name is Julie Swetnick, and she claims she attended house parties decades ago in Washington, D.C., and observed Kavanaugh actually assaulting women.

She also alleges he was involved in a sexual assault against her.

“Moments ago, we sent a sworn declaration under penalty of perjury signed by my client, Julie Swetnick, detailing her allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, Mark Judge, and others relating to the early ’80s and what she observed and witnessed, as well as what transpired to her during that time period. We have asked the committee, as we did days ago, to launch a formal FBI investigation,” said Avenatti on “The View.”

He added later about Swetnick, “She is willing to testify. Again, she’s willing to meet with the FBI forthwith immediately to describe what she witnessed. She’s prepared to provide additional corroborating witnesses’ names to the FBI associated with that investigation, and we’re hopeful that the committee is going to respond immediately by calling for an FBI investigation so that all of these allegations can be properly vetted and the truth can be known.”

Avenatti’s actions are quickly making him a folk hero among the Left.

Arquette went beyond just retweeting Avenatti’s announcement — and began defending Swetnick against skeptics, making her stance on the matter quite clear.

“These are 3 accomplished women. Imagine how they would treat them if they were waitresses,” the actress wrote about Kavanaugh’s multiple accusers.

She later said she wanted an “FBI investigation” into the allegations.

She also said that skeptics were “victim blaming.”

Musician Jeff Hendrick also threw his support behind Avenatti.

And other celebs have been working overtime to stop Kavanaugh and to push the allegations against him as the truth — though there’s not yet proof of anything, and there should be a presumption of innocent until proven guilty.

Here are a few other points of view.

Avenatti’s support among the Left and Hollywood is likely to only grow, as President Donald Trump also called him out directly via Twitter on Wednesday.

“Avenatti is a third-rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships — a total low-life!” the president tweeted.

Avenatti did not waste the opportunity.

He responded quickly by insulting Trump.

“Trump pretends he is a tough guy. He is nothing of the kind. He grew up spoiled with a silver spoon in his mouth and a gold toilet under his butt. He was handed everything. That is why the majority of America & the UN laughs at him and calls him a con. But at least Putin is a fan,” he wrote back.

Avenatti’s pinned tweet on Twitter, by the way, is a rundown of his positions on major political issues.

He has said in the past that running for president in 2020 is a possibility for him. If he does pursue a presidential run, Hollywood will no doubt be there to back him up.
