Leave it to Jim Carrey to be politically controversial in September 2018.

The actor (above left), once widely heralded for his creative performances on the big screen in such films as “Liar, Liar” and “Dumb and Dumber,” has now focused on political activism through his artwork — and his latest creation, which he just unveiled, carries the hashtag “#CapitalismWithAConscious.”

“Thank you, @Nike, for just doing it,” Carrey wrote on Twitter.

Carrey’s new piece of artwork — his latest of many — shows former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick (above right) in his controversial kneeling position.

A message in the background says, “Nike … just did it.”

The Carrey artwork also appears to acknowledge the U.S. Olympic athletes who raised their fists at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, Mexico.

It also pays tribute to Jesse Owens’ performance at the Olympics in 1936 in Nazi-era Berlin, Germany, as Yahoo also pointed out.

Carrey showcased his latest creation the same exact day Nike released its controversial “Just Do It” advertisement with Kaepernick front and center in it.

The former quarterback is the original national anthem kneeler during the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of NFL games.

He has said he did so to protest racial inequality issues in this country.

President Donald Trump has spoken many times about the disrespect shown to the American flag, to our troops and to the anthem; and the protests by Kaepernick and other players have been a huge source of controversy for the NFL.

The Carrey clip, called “Dream Crazy,” reveals a montage of various athletes “overcoming adversity to chase their dreams, with a voiceover by Kaepernick,” as Yahoo and other outlets also reported.
