Twitter, Facebook and Google could be navigating some choppy waters in the near future.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is considering an investigation of the companies.

Sessions will be “briefed on September 25 by Republican state attorneys general who are already examining the firms’ practices,” according to Bloomberg.

This will “help Sessions decide if there’s a federal case to be made against companies such as Alphabet Inc.’s Google, Facebook Inc., and Twitter Inc. for violating consumer protection or antitrust laws.”

The briefing will reportedly include attorneys general from Alabama, Louisiana, Nebraska, Tennessee and Texas.

A representative from the Justice Department’s antitrust division will also be in attendance.

Social media companies including Twitter and Facebook have come under heavy scrutiny in recent years for their bias against conservatives.

Twitter has an admitted bias and has been accused of “shadow-banning” conservatives, while Facebook has been accused of trying to silence right-leaning voices while, at the same time, promoting left-leaning ones.

A Sessions investigation could very well be a real possibility, considering President Trump himself has accused the social media platforms of bias.

“I think that Google and Twitter and Facebook — they are really treading on very, very troubled territory and they have to be careful,” President Trump has told the press in the past.

“It is not fair to large portions of the population.”

“Social media giants are silencing millions of people,” he has written on Twitter, adding that some tech companies are in a “very anti-trust situation.”

Instagram — which, of course, is owned by Facebook — is the latest social media platform to come under scrutiny for the left-leaning bias it has displayed.

Now the company has given a brand-new show to former Vice President Joe Biden, who is going to be breaking down hot-button issues in an attempt to get young people to the polls this fall, obviously on behalf of Democrats, for the midterm elections.

“These things are all left-wing,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham said of social media platforms on Wednesday night’s “The Ingraham Angle.”

“They always have been. Social media has been dominated by the Left.”
